Rev. Robert "Bob" Lee's Obituary
Rev. Robert "Bob" Lee, 87, of Childersburg, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 6, 2022. A time of reflecting of Rev. Lee’s life and celebrating God’s love and grace service will be Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Vertical Point Church in Alexander City, Alabama with a time of visiting following the service.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm the family will receive friends at Green's Creek Baptist Church in Petal, Mississippi with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
His sons, Rev. Daniel Lee and Rev. Vince Lee will officiate these services.
Rev. Lee was born on March 19, 1935 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Arthur and Susie Busby Lee. His adolescent years were spent in Mississippi and joined the US Navy upon graduating from Petal High School. He served upon the USS Kidd during the Korean War. Rev. Lee spent 20 years working for the Ralston Purina Company before becoming a pastor. He pastored churches in Alabama and Mississippi where he was known for his genuine love for people and faithfully preaching the Word of God. He was an encourager and mentor to all and known as a prayer warrior. Before entering the pastorate, he was very active in the Gideons International.
He is survived by his sons, Rev. Daniel Lee (Karen) of Greenville, South Carolina and Rev. Vince Lee (Tina) of Childersburg, Alabama; grandchildren, Rachel Holtzclaw (Michael), Ana Milam (Chad), Heather Barrett (Justin), and Allen Lee (Lori); great-grandchildren, Charlee-Ray Holtzclaw, Hudson Lee, Emily Kate Lee, Braxton Lee, Miles Barrett, and Meredith Barrett; sister, Evelyn Sue Wilson; and many other dear family members that he loved.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Charmagne Dawsey Lee, son, Brent Lee; brother, Floyd Lee; and his parents.
