Mrs. Robbie Jean Goodwin Marable's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Robbie Jean Goodwin Marable, 83, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Liberty Methodist Cemetery in Hackneyville. Dr. Josh Sammons will officiate.
Mrs. Marable passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on October 1, 1938 in Alexander City, Alabama to Wallace Green and Louise Dean Green. She was an active member of Hillabee Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who worked hard her entire life. She enjoyed working in her yard. After retiring from Russell Mills she worked for several years at The Salvation Army in Alexander City where she eventually became the Director of the office here in town.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy Lynn Goodwin of Alexander City and Phillip Huel Goodwin (Patti) of Goodwater; grandchildren, Brandi Laine Cotney (Daniel) of New Site, Brandon Bryan of New Site, Jeremy Lynn Goodwin of Alexander City, and Houston Goodwin of Kellyton; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Roger Green (Brenda) of Hackneyville, and sister-in-law, Helen McLeod of Alexander City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clarence Huel Goodwin; second husband, Gene Marable; daughter, Debra Jean Keel; grandchild, Jamie Olivia Goodwin; sister, Ruby Thompson, and brother, Jimmy Green.
