Mrs. Robbie Jean Griffin's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Robbie Jean Griffin, 85, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Sims and Bro. Mark Rasbury will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robbie Griffin, lovingly known to all as Robbie, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the venerable age of 85. Born on December 5, 1939, Robbie's life was a tapestry of love, friendship, and thoughtful gestures that touched the lives of everyone she knew.
Robbie's legacy is carried on by her devoted family, including her son Charles Pike and his wife Patricia, her daughter Brenda Davis and her husband Dan, her son James Pike and his wife Brenda of Daviston, AL, and her son Danny Pike and his wife Julie. Her brother Steve Thomas remains to cherish her memory, as well. Robbie was the proud matriarch to 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She was welcomed into the afterlife by her beloved husband, Willie Frank Griffin, and is preceded in death by her parents, Marlin Monroe Thomas and Annie Lucille Thomas; her daughter Linda Peppers; her daughter Margie Simpson; her son-in-law Lonnie Simpson; her brothers, Robert Thomas, A.C. Dukes, and J.C. Dukes; and her sisters, Betty Williams, Nell Shurum, and Ruth Shurum.
Throughout her life, Robbie was the epitome of a loving soul. Her warm, friendly nature made her a cherished friend and confidant to many. Her thoughtfulness was evident in the way she remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and special moments, both big and small, in the lives of those she cared for. Robbie's door was always open, and her kitchen table was the heart of many family discussions, laughter-filled meals, and cups of coffee shared with friends.
Robbie's dedication to her family was unwavering. She was a cornerstone, providing support and guidance while fostering a sense of togetherness that will continue to resonate through generations. Her lessons of compassion, patience, and unconditional love are her lasting gift to her family.
Her life was not only defined by her role as a mother and grandmother but also by the countless friendships she nurtured throughout her years. Robbie's friendly demeanor was contagious, and she had the unique ability to make every individual feel seen and appreciated. Her presence in the community will be greatly missed, but the impact she made will be felt for many years to come.
As we bid farewell to Robbie Griffin, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit, characterized by love and kindness, will forever be remembered and treasured. Robbie lived her life with grace, and now she rests in peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before her.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Mrs. Robbie Griffin will be profoundly missed, but the light of her spirit will continue to guide us.
