Mr. Ricky Easterwood's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Ricky Easterwood, 51, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Alexander City Independent Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Cowhick and Minister Chris Tidwell will officiate.
Ricky passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the University of Alabama Hospital. He was born on July 2, 1970 in Alexander City, Alabama to Richard John Easterwood and Kathy Berry Easterwood. He was an active member of Alexander City Independent Methodist Church and loved teaching the kids and helping in the Men’s Fellowship Group. Ricky loved his church family and loved helping people in need. He loved all things outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and grilling. Ricky was an avid Auburn fan and loved college baseball and football. Ricky was a family man and loved spending time with his family and friends. Ricky will be remembered for being a fighter, encourager, giver and a doer of the Word.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 24 years, Brandi Forbus Easterwood of Alexander City; son, Franklin Gage Easterwood of Alexander City; mother, Kathy Easterwood of Alexander City; brother, James Easterwood (Deanna) of Alexander City; sister, Dawn Martin of Pelham; grandmother, Marie Berry Brewer of Jackson, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Raphelia Forbus of Dadeville; sister-in-law, Krista Forbus of Birmingham; best friends, Danny and Laura Forbus of Alexander City; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard John Easterwood; and son, Richard Logan Easterwood.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to the Men's Fellowship Group at the Alexander City Independent Methodist Church, 1020 11th Ave. North, Alexander City, AL 35010.
