Mr. Richard "Rick" Melvin Worrell's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Richard “Rick” Melvin Worrell, 63, of Alexander City, will be Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Worrell passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1958 in Union Springs, Alabama to Marcus Daniel Worrell and Sybil Merle Bundy Worrell. Rick worked at Russell Corporation for many years. He loved music and enjoyed singing. Rick also enjoyed playing the guitar and had a nice collection of guitars. He was light-hearted, had a wonderful sense of humor and could have the whole room laughing.
Rick is survived by his sisters, Sybil W. Humber of Alexander City, Teresa W. Raley (Kenneth) of Hurtsboro, Patricia W. Tindoll of Tyler and Zebie W. Askew of Alexander City; brother, Marcus Ira Worrell (Mary) of Hurtsboro; host of nieces and nephews; and many friends that he cared for dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Hurston Daniel Worrell and William Lee Worrell.
