Mr Richard Earl Johnston's Obituary
Richard E. Johnston was born on January 27, 1957, in Sweetwater, TX to Harvel and Geraldine Marrs Johnston and entered his eternal home on December 5, 2025, at the age of 68.
He is survived by his wife, Kris Duchart, his brother, Mike Johnston, and his sister, Debbie Spraggins (James). Nephews Ian Johnston and Connor Johnston (Shaina) and nieces Katelyn Baker (Justin) and Megan McCants (Travis) along with a host of other nieces and nephews. Great nephews Cooper McCants, Kolson Queen and Callum Johnston. Great nieces Emma Cole McCants and Brooklyn Treadwell along with a host of other great nephews and nieces and family members.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles and numerous other family members.
Everyone who knew anything about Rick knew of his absolute love for his children (fur babies) Jack and Lily, and how dearly devoted to them. They were his children and there is no doubt they will miss him dearly. Along with Ricks’ lover for his babies, he loved reading books, and he found simple joy in doing crossword puzzles and listening to music. Rick and Kris enjoyed traveling to different places and experiencing many adventures.
Rick will be missed terribly, but we take solace in knowing that he is talking and walking with his mom and dad, and we can only imagine the conversations that they are having.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
