Mr. Richard T. Evans' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Richard T. Evans, 77, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Flint Hill Church Cemetery. Pastor Tony Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Evans passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 9, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Richard C. Evans and Marion Textor Evans. Richard's 52 years of marriage was a testament to his unwavering commitment and love for his wife. Together, they built a life full of affection, partnership, and mutual support that stood as an inspiration to all who knew them. His role as a father and grandfather was embraced with an open heart, guiding his children and grandchildren with wisdom, and celebrating their milestones and successes with immense pride.
An enthusiast of cars and motorcycles, Richard loved the sight of a classic engine or the latest model. Car clubs throughout the years knew him as an active and passionate member, someone who could always be relied upon for insightful discussions and heartfelt camaraderie.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Evans of Alexander City; his children and grandchildren, Walker (Anne) Evans of Columbus, OH and their children, Desi and Sophie and John (Becka) Evans of Gulf Shores and their child, August; and sister, Susan Reimer of Clayton, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
