Visitation for Mr. Richard “Big Rick” Wayne Simpson, 46, of Alexander City, will be on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Simpson passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1975, in Alexander City, Alabama to Martha Simpson. Big Rick was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, he had an infectious laugh, enjoyed sending funny memes to his family and friends and shooting pool. He was valued by his work family and team. If you knew him, you loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Martha “Mot” Pike (Tommie); sister, Kelli Sims (Jason); brother, TJ Pike (Tracy); nieces, Brianna Pike, Erin Sims (Isaiah); nephew, Kyle Tucker Sims; great-niece, Azzy Mae “Fat Fat”; best friend, Misti Jackson, and her children, Daylin, Reed, Riley and Sunni Claire and grandchildren; best friend, Donna Parrott, children and grandchildren; best friend, Brian Taunton; one aunt, three uncles, cousins and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mama, Annie Ruth Simpson, two aunts, one uncle, several cousins, and friends.
The family will accept fresh cut flowers or green plants.
