Mr. Richard "Ricky" Sanford Baker's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Richard “Ricky” Sanford Baker, 61, of Alexander City, will be Friday, June 22, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Tim Green will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at University of Alabama Hospital (Birmingham). He was born on November 22, 1956 in Alexander City, Alabama to Hershall Sanford Baker and Winnifred Odean Baker. Mr. Baker was a very well liked gentleman that enjoyed helping others and was very supportive of his family. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing and just spending time on the river with his family and beloved dogs; Ranger, Buddy and Piper. Ricky was also an avid Alabama fan and come football season, would watch the games at his friends homes so they could fellowship and cheer on their team.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pamela “Pam” F. Baker of Alexander City; sons, Richard “Cody” Baker (Hillarie) of Chattanooga and Bryant “Cade” Baker of Alexander City; grandson, Parker F. Baker; brothers, Randy Baker (Sharon) and Rodney Baker (Danice) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
