Phillip Kirk Vaughan's Obituary
Phillip Kirk Vaughan, Age 74, of Jackson's Gap, died On November 30th at Russel Medical Center. He was born on July 10th 1949 to Gene and Thomas Vaughan in Greensboro, Alabama. He graduated high school and college from Marion Military Institute where he went on to Samford University and completed Pharmacy School. He worked as a pharmacist for the entirety of his life until retiring in early 2023. He loved his dog, Martin, gardening, cooking, canning, and in his younger years, water skiing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Phil is survived by his dog, Martin, and son, Brandon, granddaughters Kirklynn and Carolyn, siblings Wanda Green, Yancy Groshans, Dawn Zahedi, Tracy Vaughan, and Vikki Rodgers, and many nieces and nephews.
If you knew Phil, you know he always had a joke or a funny story up his sleeve. His pecan pies were the best around. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Phil asked that there be no "fuss" over a funeral and instead there will be a family ash scattering at a later date.
