Mr. Phillip DeWildt's Obituary
Phil passed away suddenly on December 21, 2021. Phil was born on October 13, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He was a witty and outgoing guy who would strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Being a licensed builder for most of his life, he built many fine homes in West Michigan. After retiring in 2014 he moved to Lake Martin in Jacksons Gap, Alabama, where he built his dream home. Phil owned and operated Statewide Restoration Inc. for several decades in the Grand Rapids area, and was a successful and respected insurance restoration business man. While on Lake Martin, Phil spent much time on his pontoon boat, and enjoyed going to one of the many beaches for cook outs, and to watch his beloved Boxer dog Babs frolic in the sand and water.
Phil was a loving husband, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 48 years, Debbie.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hillview Memorial Park in Alexander City, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels To Towers.
