Mrs. Peggy A. Smith's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Peggy A. Smith, 89, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 3:00 pm at the Orr Street Baptist Church. Rev. Turk Holt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 30, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Orr Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Russell Medical. She was born on June 15, 1931, in Valley, Alabama to Charlie Euphrates Beck and Estelle Lavonia Snowden Beck. She was a member of Orr Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. Peggy was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family held a special place in her heart, and she took advantage of any opportunity to spend time with them. She enjoyed family cook outs, spending time socializing with her neighbors, tending her many flowers she grew and attending church.
She is survived by her children, Susan S. Jordan, Billy R. Smith Jr. (Kathy), Misty Smith Bishop (Rodney); son-in-law, Steve A. Sherrer; grandchildren, Pandi S. Dean (Mac), Bethany S. Epperson (Matt), Cory M. Jordan (Rachel), Kellie M. Jordan (Jason), Jansen R. Smith, Cody A. Bishop (Jody), Haden B. Bishop; great-grandchildren, Coleigh, Parker, and Walker Dean, Olivia and Cooper Epperson, Tiffany and Andrea Jordan, Chloe and Halle Davis, Aubrey Ann Smith; one great great-grandchild, Christine Keay; brothers, Court Beck, Colen Beck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy Ralph Smith Sr.; daughter, Pamela S. Sherrer; son, Terry Ralph Smith; parents; sister, Faye Senn; brothers, C.V. Beck, Charles Beck, Tony Beck and Napoleon Beck.
