Mrs. Peggy Ann Love's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Peggy Ann Love, 91, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm at The Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Peggy passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Russell Medical. She was born on July 16, 1931 to Van Straley Jones and Ossie May Stone Jones. She was an active member of True Holiness Church. She had a "green thumb" and loved gardening, quilting, canning, cooking, and singing. Peggy was a very strong and devoted Christian woman. She loved her grandchildren, affectionately calling her "Maw" and "Maw-Maw", church family, friends, and her cat, Jake. Peggy was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed for her compassionate heart, sense of humor, humility and faith.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Doverd (Jamie) Love of Alexander City; daughter, Freida Ann Woodfin of Alexander Ciy; grandchildren, William K Love, Zachary Glenn Love, Porsha A Love; great-grandchildren, EmmaJean Ruth Love and Alyssa Grace Burrough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doverd Love; sons, Edward Earl Love, Keith Love, Richard Lamar Love; parents, Van Straley and Ossie May Jones; brother, Claudie Jones; and sister, Irene Pressley.
