Mr. Paul Green Atkisson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Paul Green Atkisson, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Cummings and Keith Roberson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Atkisson passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Russell Medical. He was born on November 19, 1936 in Chocolocco, Alabama to Joseph Green Atkisson and Mary Elsie Dowdy Atkisson. He was an active member of Wayside Baptist Church. He was a man with a caring heart and was a true servant of God. He enjoyed fishing and was an excellent gourmet cook. He worked for many years as a banker at Valley National Bank and Southtrust Bank. After retirement he was a volunteer at Russell Medical. Mr. Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Johnson Atkisson of Alexander City; son, Thomas G. Atkisson of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Carrie Dooley of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Chris Dobbs (Becky), Justin Campbell, and Jackson Thomas Dooley; sister, Ruthie Roberson (Tom) of Alexander City; and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dianne M. Campbell; his parents; sisters, Maudie Hammonds and Elizabeth Bonner; brothers, Leroy Atkisson, George Thomas Atkisson, Joseph Lafayette Atkisson and Daniel Frank Atkisson.
