Mrs. Patti Burnett Mitchell's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Patti Burnett Mitchell, 68, of Eclectic, will be Friday, July 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Wayside Baptist Church. Rev. Will Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Wayside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mitchell passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1958 in Alexander City, Alabama to Earl Burnett and LaRue Oliver Burnett. Patti graduated from New Site High School in 1976. She was a cheerleader and devoted friend. Patti worked at Russell Corporation in Alexander City for many years, as well as being a business partner with her husband, Reid, at Mitchell’s Marine.
She is survived by her husband, Reid Mitchell of Eclectic; daughters, Amy (Will) Baker of Alexander City, Amy (Dave) Orrico of Alexander City, and Leigh (John) Brunet of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Sarah Baker of Tallasee, Madison (Skylar) Crafton of Alexander City, Mitchell Storm of Atlanta, GA, Avery (Michael Keane) Storm of Auburn, Knox Brunet of Charleston, SC, Atticus Brunet of Charleston, SC, Jack Brunet of Atlanta, GA, Robert Brunet of Atlanta, GA, Pete Orrico of Littleton, CO, Mike Orrico of Jersey City, NJ, Jack Orrico of New York, NY, and Joe Orrico of Ocala, FL; great-grandchild, Beau Keane of Auburn; sister, Jan (Gary) Kennedy of New Site; brother, Tim (Annette) Burnett of Alexander City; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Rocky Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sharon McLain.
The family appreciates the love and support of extended family, friends, and the supportive staff of Ivy Creek Hospice who were involved with her care, specifically her nurse, Leigh Ann Stroud.
