Mrs. Patsy Easterwood's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mrs. Patsy Easterwood, 74, of Auburn, will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Josh Sammons will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Easterwood passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Born on August 5, 1951, in Alexander City to Charles Park Wilbanks and Corrine Hatton Wilbanks, Patsy's life was one marked by dedication, warmth, and a spirited love for the world around her.
Patsy's professional life was characterized by her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering integrity. She spent many years as a bookkeeper for several businesses, where her expertise and reliability were greatly valued. Her colleagues knew her as a person who not only excelled in her work but also brought joy and a sense of camaraderie to the workplace.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Patsy was a passionate supporter of Auburn University football. Her enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and she could often be found cheering on her team with vigor, embodying the true spirit of a devoted fan. Her love for the game was a testament to her loyalty and her belief in the power of community and teamwork.
Patsy was also known for being a night owl, a trait that allowed her to indulge in her fondness for late-night television shows. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike Easterwood of Auburn; daughters, Casey Leigh (Brandon) Payne of Auburn, and Kristen Marie Moore of Opelika; niece, Stacy (Greg) Pendley of Hoover; and nephew, David (Angela) Waters of Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Waters.
