Ms. Patricia A. McClellan's Obituary
Graveside Service for Ms. Patricia A. McClellan, 71, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Russell Farm Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Cowhick will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. McClellan passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on June 7, 1951 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to James Monroe Shores and Lizzie Voncile Speaks Shores. She attended Russell Farm Baptist Church. Patricia graduated from Auburn University with a master’s degree in social work and psychology. She helped start the Family Sunshine Center in Montgomery for abused women and children. After many years of service there she transferred to the Alabama Coalition for Domestic Violence. With her many years of service she was able to help many women and children out of difficult situations. Patricia enjoyed spending outdoors planting flowers and tending her many beautiful flower gardens. From this hobby she obtained the status of Master Gardener.
She is survived by her brothers, Roger Dale Shores (Teresa), Ronnie Dean Shores (Crystal); nieces and nephews, Kristin Leigh Peppers, Brian Peppers, Stephanie Shores Hicks (Steven), Clint Shores, Katelyn Cotney (Levi), Tyler Shores (Brittany), Chad Shores (Kelly), Brad Shores (Melanie), Ross Shores (Malorie) and sister-in-law, Rhonda Shores.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Jean Peppers and brother, James Calvin Shores.
