Mrs. Patricia Elaine Keel's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mrs. Patricia Elaine Keel, 82, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. John Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Patricia Elaine Keel, a spirited, creative, and funny woman, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023, at the age of 82 in Alexander City, Alabama. Born on May 2, 1941, in Coosa County, Alabama, Mrs. Keel was a beacon of joy and laughter for all who knew her.
Mrs. Keel is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Earl W. Keel, and their loving children: daughters Dawn King (Bill Lindsay) of Vail, Colorado, and Michelle Keel of Birmingham; sons Steve Keel (Lori) of Alexander City, and Andy Keel (Frida) of Atlanta. She was the cherished grandmother of Rhiannon McCook (Daniel), Rhett King, Dalton Keel, Jud Keel, and Amelia Keel, and sister to Kay Edwards (David) of Childersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edwina Tankersly and Memory Nelson, and brothers Kenneth and Billy Saxon.
A strong and capable woman, Mrs. Keel demonstrated her prowess as a plant manager for several textile plants. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she served as an inspiration to many in her profession.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Keel was a dedicated member of the Flint Hill Church. She had a deep love for quilting and had a special gift for creating beautiful pieces that her family will cherish forever. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers, a hobby that brought her much peace and satisfaction.
Mrs. Keel's love for her family was profound. She adored her children and grandchildren, often expressing her affection by sewing clothes for them as they grew up. Her wonderful sense of humor was infectious, and she had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter into any room she entered.
In memory of Mrs. Patricia Elaine Keel, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, creativity, and an indomitable spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
