Pam once told me that during a concert at Motlow, she heard the song Landslide and began to cry at the line, ‘Can I handle the seasons of my life?’ She could — and she did — with grace, humor, and a heart that steadied everyone around her.
In our last meeting, she smiled and said, ‘You’re an amazing asset to the college. I don’t really have anything you need to improve upon… so what do you think you should improve?’ That was Pam — equal parts mentor, mirror, and light.
I have only known her a few short years but I loved her deeply. She has impacted my life, my teaching and my world with her infectious kindness, unconditional love and unwavering support. I only wish I could have more time which is such a silly thing to say because there would never been enough time.
