Mr. Nolen David Smith's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. David Smith, 78, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Mitchell and Eddie Black will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Adams Health and Rehab. He was born on April 2, 1944, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Nolen Kelvin Smith and Eunice Ruth Cleveland Smith. He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. David enjoyed watching his great-grandchildren play, fishing, golfing, putting jigsaw puzzles together and bowling. He had a passion for painting as well as wood working and wood burning. His family has many treasured items he made for them. David loved his grand and great-grandchildren dearly and cherished time spent with them.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Adams (Michael); son, Nolen Smith; grandchildren, Stephen Adams, Justin Adams (Blair), Josh Smith, Austin Smith (Alisha), Hanna Smith; great-grandchildren, Ryland Adams, Charlie Kate Adams, Kylee Joy Adams, Oakley Smith, Ayla Gilley, Ethan Smith, Nathan Smith, Aiden Casey and sisters, Doris Black (Eddie) and Lisa Shaw (Raford).
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Smith and great-granddaughter, Zoey Jayne Adams.
