Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Sewell's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Sewell, 74, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. David Sherrell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sewell passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at her residence. She was born on December 16, 1948 in Alexander City, Alabama to James Vance Scroggins and Mary Elizabeth Moore Scroggins. She was a longtime member of Comer Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous committees and sang in the choir. For nearly 30 years, she worked at Robinson Foundry and retired as the Production Manager. She loved to travel and enjoyed cooking and baking and could make anything. She loved her family very much, especially her “babies”.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Lee Sewell of Alexander City; son, Greg Sewell (Shannon) of Alexander City; daughter, Natalie Sewell Parsons of Alexander City; grandchildren, Ashley Dickie (Hunter), Brannon Sewell (Gracie Kelly), William Sewell (Ally Reynolds) and Victoria Parsons; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Austyn Kate Dickie; brother, Larry Paul Scroggins (Amanda) of Jacksons Gap; sister, Debra Easterwood (Mark) of Jacksons Gap; sister-in-law, Paula Scroggins of Alexander City; nieces and nephew, Lisa Scroggins McKinney, Dr. Jud Easterwood, Lane Sanders (Ashley) and Samantha Spurlin (Brad); and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Scroggins.
