Mrs. Dorothy Jean "Dot" Cannon's Obituary
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Dorothy Jean "Dot" Cannon, 82, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Pastor Wille Pace will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cannon passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at . She was born on January 22, 1942 in Georgia to Jodie Smith and Sadie Hughes Smith. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Cannon loved her family dearly. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Billy Wayne Cannon; daughters, Theresa Nicholson, Jakiethia (Raymond) Pitts, Bonnie Sharpe, and Connie (Jamie) Campbell; sons, Mike Montgomery, Terry Montgomery, and Greg (Jen) Montgomery; grandchildren, Stephen (Morayma) Nicholson, Raymond (Kelly) Pitts, Jr., Beth (Robbie) Poplin, Brandon (Carrie) Montgomery, Myles Montgomery, Makayla (Caleb) Alexander, Branson Montgomery, Monty (Amie) Cox, Ashley Montgomery, Damien Montgomery, Brandy (Woody) Wood, Amber (Ronnie) Yadao, Jamie Lee Campbell, and Jody (Jason) Campbell; twenty five great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister, Marche Cotney; numerous loved nieces and nephew; and, neighbors, Richard Vaughn, Carolyn Tapley, and Bonnie Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Dale Nicholson; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Slim Gentry; brother and sister-in-law, J.D. and Lucille Smith; and brother, Buddy Smith.
