William "Bill" E. Nolen, a man of faith, love, and gentleness, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Bill was a man who lived his life with a quiet strength, radiating warmth and kindness to all who had the good fortune to know him.
Born to Millard O'Neil Nolen and Ila Lois Nolen, Bill was a graduate of B.B Comer Memorial High School in Sylacauga, AL. After his schooling, he honorably served his country in the United States Army for two years. Bill embarked on a successful career with Coca Cola, where he faithfully served for 31 years before retiring.
Bill was a loving family man and is survived by his son, Randall Scott Nolen of Dadeville, AL. His legacy also continues through his grandchildren, Jessica Fuller (Will) and Christina Thornton (Billy), and his great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Fuller, Brianna Peters, and Katie Peters. His joy was further amplified with the birth of his great-great-grandchild, Macy Pridgen. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Brenda Kaye Nolen, and his parents, Millard O'Neil Nolen and Ila Lois Nolen.
A man of many interests, Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He found solace and creativity in woodworking and stained glass creation. Despite his love for solitude and quiet activities, Bill also enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends, often shooting pool on Tuesdays. A dedicated sports fan, he found joy in watching Auburn Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball, showcasing his love for all sports.
Bill's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His gentle nature and love for others were a reflection of his deeply held beliefs. His faith carried him through life's challenges and joys, providing a solid foundation for his family. His faith was not loud or ostentatious, but quiet and steady, much like the man himself.
In every aspect of his life, Bill embodied the words that best describe him: loving, gentle, and faith-filled. His love was evident in his care for his family, his gentleness was reflected in his hobbies and interests, and his faith was the quiet strength that underpinned his entire life.
As we remember and celebrate the life of William "Bill" E. Nolen, we are reminded of his love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for his hobbies. His life was a testament to the power of faith, the value of love, and the beauty of gentleness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of his family and friends.
