Mitchell lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of each day. He had a servant's heart and was always more than willing to lend a helping hand. He never met a stranger and made an extra effort to make everyone feel welcome and important. He enjoyed his work and had a unique gift for turning other people's ideas into reality. He was a true craftsman but could also fix basically anything with a motor. Mitchell mentored many young men over the years and taught them how to take pride in a job well done. He was a simple man who loved seeing others happy and went out of his way to give everyone a laugh or see them smile.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Renae Pemberton of Alexander City; mother, Barbara Annette Ramsey of Alexander City; step-mother, Sharon Pemberton of Alexander City; brothers, Kelly (Jennifer) Pemberton, John David (Staci) Pemberton, Jeremy Pemberton, all of Alexander City; sister, Crystal Pemberton of Alexander City; step-brothers, Joe (Lisa) Ramsey of Hope Hull, and Chris (JoEllen) Ramsey of Calera; children, Gregory Newman of Auburn, Nick (Abby) Newman of Jacksons Gap, Hagan Pemberton of Troy, Chandler (Erin) Pemberton of Gandy, CO, Davis Pemberton of Auburn, Kennedy (Chris) Miles of Valley, and Walker Pemberton of Gulf Shores; grandchildren, Hanna Grace Newman of Jacksons Gap, Hayes Pemberton of Troy, Sadie Pemberton of Troy, Bennett Miles of Valley, a sweet baby girl on the way; and his best friend, Bobby Fuller. Mitchell was also the favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Pemberton; and step-father, Bob Ramsey; grandparents Grady and Mary Nell Pemberton and Belton and Agnes Aldridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Lake Martin Animal Shelter 2502 Sugar Creek Rd. Alexander City, AL 35010 or to the Hillabee Campground Church 120 CC Rd. Alexander City, AL 35010.
