Mr. Michael Sell Vaughan's Obituary
Mr. Michael Sell Vaughan, 63, of Prattville, Alabama, departed this life on June 11, 2026.
Mike was born August 8, 1962 in Auburn, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn High School and attended Auburn University where he earned a BS degree and MS degree in Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture. He was employed by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management before starting his own real estate agency, Vaughn and Associates in Prattville, Alabama.
He is survived by his three daughters, Evelyn Sell Vaughan Amons (Nathan), Isabella Sell Vaughan Johnson (Davey), Tallulah Sell Vaughan (Cody); mother, Ethel Sell Vaughan; brother, John Thomas Vaughan, Jr. (Renata); sister, Faythe Vaughan; nephews, John Thomas Vaughan (Laura), Charlie Vaughan, and Vaughan Immerwahr; niece, Dylan Vaughan; and great-nieces, Audrey and Stella.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Vaughan; and his wife, Anita Vaughan.
Mike was a devoted father, a skilled businessman, an avid sportsman, and a talented artist. He did his own work, from roofing, installing bathrooms, sanding floors, etc. He could do anything. He spent many happy hours on his farm in Macon County and his vacation home on Perdido Bay.
Something that stands out is the bond he held with so many close friends. Thank you all.
A graveside service will be held at the Tuskegee Cemetery in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a charity of your choosing.
