He was born on September 2, 1966, in Alexander City, Alabama, and lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and a genuine love for the people around him. Michael was a Christian man whose faith guided him throughout his life and gave strength to those who knew him best. He will be remembered as a funny, selfless, and loving soul who had a gift for making others feel welcome and cared for. He was an active member of Ray Baptist Church.
Michael had a passion for all things fast, loud, and full of life. He loved racing, off-roading, and anything that involved a motor. Whether he was talking about engines, watching races, or spending time around the things he enjoyed most, Michael found joy in the excitement and energy of the moment. His interests reflected his spirited personality and his appreciation for the simple pleasures that made life meaningful to him.
Music was another important part of Michael’s life. He loved music and could often find comfort, enjoyment, and connection through the songs he listened to. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him great happiness and pride. Those moments with family were among the most cherished in his life, and he held them close to his heart.
Michael is survived by his son, Aubrey Shaw and his wife, Kayla, of Goodwater, Alabama; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Shaw and Evelyn Shaw; his brothers, Allen Nolen and Raford Shaw and his wife, Lisa; his special loved one, Nikki Wyatt and her husband, Jeffrey; his father, Charles Shaw and his wife, Lavern; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lee H. Hamilton.
Those who knew Michael will remember his warm spirit, his easy laugh, and the way he cared deeply for his family and friends. He had a presence that could brighten a room, and his sense of humor often brought smiles even in difficult times. His selfless nature was evident in the way he loved others, and his family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Michael’s life was one of devotion to the people he loved and the things that brought him joy. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
