Melbourne “Mel” Allen Dymond passed away on April 19, 2021 at the age of 76. Mel was a 20-year retiree from the United States Air Force, serving from 1962-1984 during the Vietnam War and a 30-year IT Specialist with the Federal De Read Obituary
Pat and family, so sorry to hear of Mel’s passing. He was a special person to work with in Jacksonville and always available to fix a problem. We ran into one another in the Atlanta office elevator a short time ago and it was like old home week. He’ll be missed. Godspeed. Fondly, Barry Gilman

I was so heartbroken to hear of Mel’s passing. We’ve been friends at RTC and FDIC for years. He was kind and funny. He had a great laugh. We spent lots of time with Mel and Pat in Northern Virginia. I made a bet with him that he and Pat would get married before Don and I did. He called me a few days before they got married (and a week before we did) and said “I guess you won that bet”. When I worked in the Atlanta Regional Office, I saw Mel often. He was always friendly and cracked a smile. He also helped with the Holiday party. He will be dearly missed. My condolences to his family.
I have known Mel since 1991, when we both worked for the RTC/FDIC. We have had a good and long friendship, and I always found him to be kind, humorous, and very intelligent. He was a great team member and leader, and someone who spoke the truth.

Uncle Mel had a contagious smile! He was as generous with that smile as he was with everything else. We have been so blessed by Uncle Mel and Aunt Pat in so many ways. Our gratitude for his joy, love, and kindness is immense. The world is a little less bright without him in it. He will be missed.
Mel was a great co worker and Friend . I worked with at several sites of FDIC and you would not find anyone that would as hard as he did in either doing his work or helping out another co worker. You will be missed my friend and remembered.
