Maureen Foreman Sorrell's Obituary
Funeral Service for Maureen Foreman Sorrell, 76, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sorrell passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Russell Medical. She was born on September 16, 1941 in Tallapoosa County to Render Patrick Foreman and Annie Laura Tucker Foreman. She loved her family dearly. She had a special love for keeping children and was known as everyone’s “Nanny”. She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, the Beach and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George "Buddy" Sorrell; son, Joseph Winston Sorrell (Stacey) of Prattville; daughter, Shelia Diane Sprayberry (Mark) of Alexander City; granddaughters, Whitney Amber Hubbard (Missy) and Jessica Lauren Sprayberry; grandsons, Jackson Ray Sorrell (Heather), Patrick Corbin Sprayberry and fiancé, Callie Burns; great-granddaughters, Taitley Rae Deavers and Millie Allyson Sorrell; brothers, Billy Ray Foreman (Joyce) of New Site and Phillip Lynn Foreman (Lynn) of Alexander City; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Foreman and Edna Earl Thornton (Adrain); and special loved one, Crystal Mulkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Allyson Leigh Sorrell; brother, Donald Foreman; and sisters, Shirley Coger and Barbara Cavender.
