Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Ethel Majors Moncrief, 85, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moncrief passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Russell Medical Center (Alexander City). She was born on December 30, 1930 in Alexander City, Alabama to Walter Jackson Majors and Minnie Florence Majors. Mrs. Moncrief loved her family, flowers and animals. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Fletcher (Tony) of Gastonia, NC; sons, Raymond Moncrief (Lynn) of Alexander City and Mark Moncrief (Kim) of Equality; grandchildren, David Fletcher, Shannan Fletcher (Misty), Gina Fletcher, Melinda Fletcher, Joseph Moncrief (Kimberly), Jane Hayes (Charlie), Brandon Moncrief (Melissa), Bradley Moncrief (Kristi); step-grandchildren, Charity Spann (David), Kerri Kelly, Jesse Weeks, and Justin Weeks, great-grandchildren, Grace Fletcher, Lydia Lowe, Rachel Hayes, Alison Hayes, Molly Moncrief, Ada Moncrief, Doss Moncrief, and Van Moncrief; step great-grandchildren, Nethan Crew, Gracie Spann, Lexie Spann, and Torie Spann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eunice East, Louie Dean, Martha Jean Stark, and Ruth Lashley; and brothers, Joseph Majors and Clayton Majors.
