Mary Frances Johns' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Frances Johns, 91, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Andrew Collum will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johns passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Tallapoosa County to Rufus Earnest Nelson and Clara Bell Collum Nelson. Frances was a faithful member of Bay Pine Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing. Frances was a skilled Rook player. She enjoyed traveling and going on vacations with her family and friends. Frances was a wonderful lady and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, Cecil Ray Roberts of Alexander City; grandchildren, Ryan Roberts and Preston Roberts; brothers, Cary Lee (Myra) Nelson of Dadeville and Billy Wayne (Rhonda) Nelson of Dadeville; niece, Hilda (Jeff) Rothstein of Dadeville; nephew, James (Donna) Stroud of Dadeville; special caregivers Shirley and Carrie; and many other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Cecil Roberts; husband, C.J. Johns; sisters, Virginia Stroud and Clara Johnson; brothers, L.V. Nelson, Eugene Nelson, J.W. Nelson, and R.E. Nelson; sisters-in-law, Floyce Nelson, Luverne Nelson, Mary Frances Nelson, and Linda Nelson; brothers-in-law, Howard Stroud and Cecil Johnson.
