Mrs. Mary Faye Baker's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary “Faye” Baker, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baker passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1938 in Alexander City, Alabama to James Harvey Lankford and Idell Burkhalter Lankford. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Faye was a very giving, selfless lady who loved her family dearly and always put them first. Her grand and great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She enjoyed crafting and making ceramics and cooking wonderful macaroni and cheese and dressing for her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Lynn Stewart of Alexander City; grandchildren, Ashley Stewart (Gerron) Thornton, Jason E. (Sasha) Stewart, and Amanda Stewart (Vance) Reaves; sister, Diane L. (James) Mahan; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Thornton, Adley Thornton, Janson Stewart, Brynlee Reaves, and Leighton Reaves; son-in-law, Edward Stewart; cousin, Margaret McManus; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a heart felt “Thank You” to Cenethia Shaw for the excellent care she gave to Mrs. Faye.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Obie Doyle Baker and parents.
