Ms Martha Ann Kassel's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Martha Ann Kassel, 75, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, April 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Lee Dymond will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. Kassel passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Russell Medical. She was born on June 5, 1947 in Eclectic, Alabama to Jim Henry Smith and Annie Walls Smith. She was Catholic by faith. MS. Kassel was a strong-willed, independent woman who loved her family, especially her grandchildren, dearly. She enjoyed family to trips to Panama City Beach and visiting her son and his family in Colorado.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Sheppard (William) of Shorter; son, Timothy Kassel of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Madison Ann Kassel and Michael Moore; sister, Gail Smith Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Denise Kassel; sisters, Vera Moody, Yvonne Hicks, Flossie Nell Field, Mary Jo Coker, and Carolyn Dymond; brothers, Bobby Smith, Cecil Hilliard Smith, James Smith, and William Smith.
