Mrs. Martha Jo Coats McClendon's Obituary
Mrs. Martha Jo Coats McClendon, age 75, passed away on May 21, 2022. She loved God and served Him as a pastor's wife for over 40 years. For much of that time she helped sufferers of mental illness. She had an unswerving faith in God and loved her grandchildren more than life itself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Claude and Tera Lucile Coats, and her sister Claudine Odell. She is survived by her dear sister Joyce Evelyn Richardson, her husband Rev. Bruce McClendon, her children John McClendon (wife Hind) and Elizabeth Cave (husband Trey), grandchildren Abigail and Katherine Cave, and five nieces and nephews.
There will be a family observance to spread her ashes at the resting place of her granddaughter Johannah Rae Cave.
