Mrs. Martha Frances "Tootsie" Cox's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Martha Frances "Tootsie" Cox, 73, of Alexander City, will be Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cox passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 16, 1943 in West Point, Georgia to Bethel Hall Tilley and Flossie Vivian Tilley. She was an active and faithful member of New Elkahatchee Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an Avid Auburn fan and loved flower gardening. She worked at Russell Corp. #6 Mill for 28 years.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Masters (Brian) of Sylacauga, Tina Davis of Phenix City, Stacy “Pete” Scruggs (Anna) of Alexander City, and Tracy Scruggs of Alexander City; grandchildren, Joel Flournoy (Leanne), Mellissa Stevens, Benny Stevens, Amber Johnson, Joshua Masters, Jacob White, Jason Davis, Nacole French, Candice Brown, Chasity Scruggs (Nick Abram), Tylar Watts, Kyra Berry, Daniel Scruggs, Justin Scruggs, Andrew Welcher and Sabrina Welcher; fifteen great grandchildren; and her dog, Spitz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Eddie Flournoy; brothers, Bethel Tilley, Arvil Tilley, James Tilley and William A. Tilley; and sisters, Clara Jean Bradford and Patricia Evans.
