Mrs. Martha Nell Bowen's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Martha Nell Bowen, 74, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Russell Farm Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bowen passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at St. Vincent's East. She was born on October 21, 1948, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Allen T. Peoples and Earlene T. Thornton Peoples. She was a member of Russell Farm Baptist Church. Martha was a loving wife and mother but once the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, they stole her heart and attention.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Johnson (Sandy); grandchildren, Allen Kittrell, Derek Johnson (Hannah), Chad Bowen (Maddie), Kimberly Bowen (Scott), Daniel Wise (Blake), Leslie Estes, Russell Estes; great-grandchildren, Allie Kittrell, Luke Tapley, Landon Wilson, Ethan Adcox, Ashton Kittrell, Raileigh Bowen, Gage Bowen, Khloe Bowen, Kaiden Cirrus, Sofie Cirrus, Kayliana Cirrus, Marcus Johnson, Khylee Johnson; son-in-law, Bubba Wise; daughter-in-law, Deborah Bowen; goddaughter, Sue Davini (Bobby); sisters, Betty Britton (TC), Cathy Bowen, Janice Peoples; brother, Danny Peoples and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Leigh Wise; son, Freddie Bowen Jr., husband of 51 years, Jerry "Snuff" Fred Bowen Sr.; parents, grandson, Jeffery Todd Johnson and several brothers and sisters.
