Mr. Marshall Thomas Danford's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. Marshall Thomas Danford, 77, of Alexander City, will be Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Ingram and Rev. Bobby Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMr. Danford passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on November 28, 1934 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Howard Danford and Levis Spraggins Danford. Mr. Danford loved the Lord and was a member of New Elkahatchee Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. He had worked in the Knitting Dept. at Russell Corp. prior to working at Wind Creek State Park for 12 years in Maintenance which he enjoyed very much. He also enjoyed attending Atlanta Braves games, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids most of all.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edna Virginia Edwards Danford of Alexander City; son, Thomas Wayne Yarbrough (Paula) of Alexander City; grandchildren, Kyle Yarbrough (Amy Bice) of Alexander City and Jessica Milner (Daniel) of Jackson's Gap; great-grandchildren, Jackson Yarbrough and Cole Milner; and niece, Marilyn Hand (Edward) of Alexander City.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Melvarine Smith.\r\n\r\nThe family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.\r\n
