Mr. Mark Cody Claybrook's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Mark Cody Claybrook, 54, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Tim Harris will officiate.
Mr. Claybrook passed away on September 11, 2023. Born on March 3, 1969, in Alexander City, Mark lived in Birmingham for several years before moving back home to Alexander City.
Mark was admired for his creativity, generosity, and thoughtfulness. He was a gifted interior decorator, and his love for the holidays was evident in the stunning decorations that adorned his home each year. His passions also extended to his garden, where he spent countless hours tending to his beloved flowers. His love for animals was unparalleled, and his cherished dogs, Sasha and Bash, brought him immense joy.
Mark was a proud graduate of Auburn University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, he dedicated many years in the engineering field before coming to Hellas Fibers in Dadeville as a Chemical Engineer. His intelligence and dedication contributed significantly to all of his companies' successes.
Mark was a member of Comer Baptist Church. His generosity touched many lives, and he will be remembered fondly for his kind-hearted nature.
Mark is survived by his loving mother, Emma Jean Claybrook of Alexander City; his brothers, Rick Claybrook (Nelda) of Deatsville, and Tim Claybrook (Phyllis) of Prattville; his nieces, Amanda Claybrook Young (T.J.) and Kaitlyn Claybrook; and his great-niece, Piper Young. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rush Claybrook.
Mark's life was a testament to his love for his family, his faith, and his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His impact on those around him was profound, and he will be deeply missed.
