A beacon of love and kindness, Marjorie passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024, at the Elite Nursing Home in Homewood, AL. Born on November 2, 1935, to Euell H. Darden and Myrtice Harrington, Marjorie's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and enduring love.
Marjorie's passion for bridge was matched only by her love for travel and the serene beauty of the beach. In 1954, she married her soulmate, Mr. Willie Warren, embarking on a journey of devotion and family that would span seven decades. Her gentle spirit enriched the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who stood at the center of her world.
Remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and doting GrandMarge, Marjorie's legacy is one of warmth and generosity. Her gentle, kind nature touched all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. Marjorie's memory will forever be a guiding light to her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Harry Alan (Margaret) Warren of Decatur, AL and Thomas Darden (Rebecca) Warren of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Anna Warren (Tom) Richards of Fayetteville, GA, Russell T. Warren of Little Rock, AR, John A. Warren of Decatur, Martin L. (Whitney) Warren of Priceville, Meg Warren (Robert) Morvant of Nashville, TN, and Warren D. (Ashley) Smallwood of Abingdon, VA; great-grandchildren, Jackson Richards, Griffin Richards, Lucille Richards, Finnley Richards, Lucy Warren, Wynn Warren, Hayes Warren, and Holt Smallwood; brother, O'Neal Darden of Deatsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Frank Warren; and daughter, Jan Warren Smallwood.
