Marie Francis Fuller's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Marie Fuller, 96, of Alexander City, will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Benny Wink will officiate.
Marie Francis Blair Fuller passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Chapman Health Care Center. Born on December 12, 1927, in Alexander City, Alabama, she was the daughter of Mr. Owen Edward Blair and Mrs. Leona Price Blair. Marie devoted herself to caring for her family through the many ups and downs that life threw her way. She maintained the right amount of grace, patience, and humor although she would always stand her ground if she had her own opinion. She loved watching the news and stayed informed on all things political. Marie had a passion for music and would find great joy in playing the piano. She always looked forward to fishing of any kind and going to the beach. Her quick wit and sharp mind were always working on various puzzles, and recently, she discovered and developed her natural skill for conquering the many difficult levels of Candy Crush.
Marie was certainly feisty and maybe a tad bit stubborn at times, but she never wavered from the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Grandmother." She is the perfect example of a Southern Matriarch...family-oriented, caring, and strong with the perfect amount of personality and flair. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who love her dearly.
Marie is survived by her children, Dianne Holladay, Brenda (Robert) Dabbs, Patricia Watts, Kathy Fuller, John (Wanda) Fuller, Jr.; grandchildren, Adam Watts, Terri (Don) Gilliand, Melissa Holladay, Jeri (Benny) Wink, Katelyn Fuller, Kristin Fuller, Michael Fuller, Chris Fuller, Nick Dabbs; great-grandchildren, Abby, Bailey, Grayson, Luke, Martina, Austin, Aaron, Rylee, Carter, Blakelee, Briggs, Garner, Gray; great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Jade, River, Liam; brother, John Blair; and sister, Gay Mosley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Clifton Fuller, Sr.; son, Michael Fuller; grandson, David Holladay; and parents, Owen and Leona Blair.
