Ms. Marie Berry Brewer's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Marie Berry Brewer, 91, of Jackson, Tennessee, and formerly of Alexander City, Alabama will be Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Alex City Church of Christ. Minister Chris Tidwell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Alex City Church of Christ.
Ms. Brewer passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born on January 12, 1931 in Alexander City, Alabama to James William Stephens and Pearl Trussell Stephens. Ms. Brewer loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired after a long career in Nursing, with Russell Medical, Chapman Health Care Center, and Temple Medical Clinic. She was a member of Alex City Church of Christ. Ms. Brewer enjoyed cooking, singing, flowers, cross stitching, and coloring with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Easterwood, Bonifay Youngblood (Michael), Cheryl McGehee (Chip), and Shelia Watkins (Stephen); grandchildren, James Thomas Easterwood (Deanna), Dawn Marie Martin, Bill Youngblood, B.J. Youngblood, Michelle Slayman (Luke), Meghann Sikes (Joey), Caleigh McGehee, Jacob Berry, Noah Berry, Caleb Berry, Rebecca Phillips (Dexter), and Braden Watkins; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorene Tidwell and Jean Forbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Berry and Richard Neal Brewer; sons, Jimmy Wayne Berry and Stephen Morgan Berry; grandchild, Ricky Wayne Easterwood; great-grandson, Richard Logan Easterwood; parents; sister, Jeanette Clark; son in law, Richard John Easterwood.
