Mrs. Margie Louise Williamson\r\n1927-2010\r\n\r\nFuneral service for Mrs. Margie Louise Williamson, 83, of Alexander City, will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Comer Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Harris and Dr. Jason Rodgers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMrs. Williamson passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Coosa County, Alabama to William Radford Hyde and Grace Leona Forbus Hyde. She was a member of Comer Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her church very much and taught the ladies Sunday School class for many years. She worked for Russell Corporation for 42 years prior to retiring. She loved her sisters very much and cherished the times that they were all together. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her sisters, Doris Futral, Nell Davis, June Neese (Grover), Jeanette McKissick and Billie Turner (Carman), all of Alexander City; numerous nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Ellen Wayfield and step daughter-in-law, Jean Williamson.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ewell Guy Williamson; and step-son, Charles Williamson.\r\n\r\n\r\n
