Mrs. Margaret Jane Thompson, 92, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Prattville Baptist Hospital. She was born on June 11, 1928 in Prentiss City, Mississippi to Edwin Hobson Tackett and Mary Alice B Read Obituary
Mrs Thompson was one of my all time favorite teachers. She was always so kind and an excellent educator. Julie Gilbert Cotney
So very thankful for Margaret’s volunteer services for many years with Alexander City Meals on Wheels. A real blessing to have known her. Such an interesting southern lady that will be missed.
It was a pleasure knowing Mrs. Thompson and getting to work with her for many years at BRHS. She was a role model for many new teachers. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I remember our senior math class from 1983. Many of her sayings and tricks for remembering Calculus are what I share with my Calculus students. She is one of the reasons I teach high school math. Rest easy sweet lady.
She was a wonderful lady and teacher. She taught me at Benjamin russell in the 70s and remember her at old russell school.
