Marcia Erline Saxon's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Marcia Erline Saxon, 94, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. John Hill and Rev. Griff Pemberton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Saxon passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at UAB, Palliative Care. She was born on January 20, 1924 in Coosa County Alabama to Evan Clay Neighbors and Linnie Cordelia Johnston Neighbors. She worked for 46 years for First National Bank in Alexander City. She was an active member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church. She loved her family dearly. She also enjoyed sewing, coloring, ice cream, fishing, and the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Faye Davis (Scott) of Alexander City, and Connie Melinda Horton both of Alexander City; son, Joel Allen Saxon (Trudy) of Bremen, Georgia; grandchildren, Natalie Fuller, Steven Holley, Griff Pemberton, Michelle Tinsley (Ricky), Jeremy Melton (Lacie), Brandon Saxon (Kimberly), and Kristen Saxon; great-grandchildren, Caleb Goodwin, Hunter Tinsley (Chassidy), Dalton Tinsley, Hadley Fuller, Abbie Fuller, Avery Melton, Christina Holley, Tuff Tinsley, and Ella Melton; great great grandchildren Bentley Tinsley, Bryson Ballinger, and Wyatt Tinsley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Allen Edison Saxon; sister, Vema Veazey, and brothers, Beryl Neighbors and Gerald Neighbors.
