Mr. Mack Henry Carter's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. Mack Henry Carter, 94, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Vick and Rev. Vince Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMr. Carter passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Chapman Healthcare Center. He was born on January 6, 1919 in New Site, Alabama to Lee Onie Carter and Maria Estella Abbett Carter. He was a charter member of Hillabee Baptist Church and was a Deacon. Mr. Carter worked for over 30 years at Russell Corp as a fixer and was a home builder for over 50 years. He was also a cattle farmer and enjoyed riding his lawnmower and golf cart, gardening, and having fish fries on the river. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his daughter, Harriett Carter Scott of Alexander City and grandchild, Cliff Scott (Rachel) of Jackson's Gap.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Harry Carter; his parents; sisters, Flossie Harry, Cumie Melton, Maybell Leftwich, and Hazel Lett; brothers, Alton Carter, C.J. Carter, Odell Carter, and Roy Carter; and grandchild, Anna Scott.\r\n
