Memorial Service for Mrs. Lynda H. Robinson, 79, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Densmore will officiate.
Lynda H. Robinson, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. Her life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and her boundless capacity to give. Lynda's journey began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she attended Highland High School, and her thirst for knowledge led her to Oklahoma Christian College. Destiny called her to Alexander City, AL, in 1964, a place she would call home for the rest of her days.
Lynda's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence. For 40 years, she was a cornerstone in the office of Tom Radney, where her diligence and expertise were invaluable. Her entrepreneurial spirit later drove her to establish her own title and closing company, which she operated with passion and integrity until her last days. Lynda was not just a businesswoman but a mentor and friend to many in her field.
Outside of her work, Lynda's interests painted a picture of a woman who embraced life with both hands. She could often be found on the golf course, where her laughter was as bright as the sun above. A talented painter, she captured the beauty of the world in every stroke. Her love for her friends was evident in their regular luncheon gatherings, where stories and joys were shared. Lynda's commitment to her faith was unwavering; she was a devoted attendee of church services and bible study, where she found strength and community.
Lynda's love was most profoundly seen in her devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her son, Jeffrey T. (Candy) Williams, Sr., and her daughter, Kimberly W. (Steve) Powell of Alexander City, AL. Her stepchildren, Ross H. (Amanda) Robinson and Ryan H. (Traci) Robinson, also hold dear the memories they shared. Lynda's grandchildren, Dr. Lynlee P. (Cooper) Nichols, Chief James B. Powell, Jeffrey T. Williams, Jr., Palmer J. Williams, John D. Williams, Hannah Robinson, Sara (Samuel) Waldon, and Skye (Chad) Rankin, were the light of her life, and she reveled in their accomplishments and adventures. Her great-grandchildren, Warren R. Nichols, Riley J. Nichols, Waylon Porter, Emma Waldon, Jace Morrison, Carli Rankin, and Cole Rankin, will grow up hearing tales of their remarkable great-grandmother.
Lynda was a cherished friend to Shirley Ann Satterfield, Joyce Willis, Claudia Mayfield, Amanda Lemay, Carolyn Hartman, Susan Brown, Betty Zettler, Karen Sturkie, and Gail Zeanah. Each friend's relationship was unique, but all were grounded in the love and laughter they shared. She now joins her beloved father, Ed
Hair, her mother, Edrie Hair, and her husband, Joseph Hunt Robinson, Jr., in eternal peace. They preceded her in death, and the reunion is a comforting thought for all who loved her.
Lynda H. Robinson was the embodiment of a loving, faith-filled, and generous soul. She touched countless lives with her kindness and leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire. Her memory will be cherished, her absence deeply felt, and her spirit forever a guiding light for her family and friends. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we do so with gratitude for the time we had with her and the love she so freely gave.
