Lorenzo Hale Grant's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Lorenzo Hale Grant, 87, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Parkhurst and Bro. Miles Crouch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Grant passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born on December 11, 1936 in Greenville, AL to Ralph Lorenzo Grant and Mary Alice Rhodes Grant. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Lorenzo worked as a civil engineer for the state of Alabama for many years. He also served as the City Engineer for the City of Alexander City. Lorenzo also served as a City Councilman for a term. He enjoyed woodworking and feeding his hummingbirds in his spare time. Lorenzo married the love of his life and loved her selflessly for 65 wonderful years. He invested everything he had and everything he was into their beloved son and daughter and his dearly loved family. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, gentleness, kindness, patience, wisdom, warmth, creativity, sweet smiles, and honor. The ones who were privileged enough to call him family or friend are forever impacted because of his sweet soul and powerful legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lucille Grant of Jacksons Gap; daughter, Lisa Grant Neese (Adam) of Alexander City; son, Philip Lorenzo Grant (Linda) of Jacksons Gap; grandchildren, Beth Neese Smith, Holly Neese Bradford (Tye), Lindsey Grant Bradberry, Daniel Philip Grant (Andrea), Kaitlyn Cooley, and Brooke Bennett; great-grandchildren, Cely Ann Bradberry, Scarlett Gail Bennett, Ansley Rae Grant, Emma Grace Smith, Cade Daniel Grant, and Remi Amala Cooley
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charles Evans Grant.
