Lonora J. Evans' Obituary
Lonora J. Evans, known affectionately as Jane by her friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on May 16, 1958, Lonora's life was a testament to her funny, generous, and adventurous spirit, which she carried with her until her last moments. Her laughter and warmth were infectious, and she lived a life full of joy and exploration that touched everyone she knew.
Lonora was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Dusty Gwyn Seibert of Fort Payne, AL, and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon M. Machado, Nicholas Machado, Journey Seibert, Alexa Seibert, James Seibert, Jayce Lovelady, Jensen Lovelady, and Braeden Lovelady. Lonora was also blessed to meet and adore her great-grandchild, Elizabeth A. Machado. Her sister, Patricia Sanford of Jacksons Gap, AL, will continue to hold Lonora's memory close to her heart. Lonora's spirit will be carried on through the stories and memories shared by her loving family.
Lonora was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Marie Lovelady; her father, Jim Thomas; her mother, Betty Lois Thomas; and her husband, David Evans. Each of them held a special place in Lonora's heart, and her reunion with them is a comforting thought for those she leaves behind.
Throughout her life, Lonora's sense of humor was a beacon of light, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around her during both the best and the most challenging times. Her generosity knew no bounds; she gave freely of her time, energy, and resources, always thinking of others before herself. Lonora's adventurous soul led her to many travels and experiences, which she enthusiastically shared through her vivid storytelling.
As we bid farewell to Lonora, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we spent with her. We will miss her laughter, her stories, and the comfort of her presence. However, we take solace in knowing that her spirit lives on within us and that her love will continue to guide us in the days to come.
Lonora's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors the joy and love she brought into this world. Her family takes great comfort in the thought of her being at peace and surrounded by her loved ones who have gone before her. Lonora J. Evans will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be a beacon of light to all who knew her.
