Lola Faye Motley's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Lola Faye Motley, 89, of Goldville, Alabama, will be Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Kinman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Bethel Baptist Church, Michael Cheaney, Rodney Cheaney, Brian Crawford, Fred Gortney, Dewey Funderburk, Bob Nolen, Chris Parker, and Junior Parker.
Mrs. Motley passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her residence. She was born on July 26, 1934, in Clay County, Alabama to Thesel Sparks and Irma Smith Sparks. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and served as Church Clerk for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and caring for others.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Gary) Whiteard of Goldville and Beverly (Richard) Nall of Gulf Breeze, FL, Grandchildren; Cole Whiteard, Cary Whiteard (Hagen), Nic Beovich (Samantha), Eric Beovich (Ali); Great-grandchildren, Hudson Whiteard, Lola Grace Whiteard, Dansby Whiteard; Sisters, Sue Woodruff, Twin, Mae Loveless (Doris), and Helen Amason; and Sister-in-law, Nettie Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband, Wyatt Tom Motley and brother, Hilt Sparks.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Michael Cheaney 1801 Bethel Circle Cragford, AL 36255.
