Mr. Lindbergh Hill's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Lindbergh Hill, 94, of New Site, will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at the New Salem Baptist Church. Rev. Carlton Amason and Rev. Tom Drake will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem-New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Bethleham-New Salem Baptist Church.
Mr. Hill passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born on October 11, 1928 in Roanoke, Alabama to Ernest Hill and Herd Odessa West Hill. He was an active member of New Salem Baptist Church. Lindbergh loved to garden and would give vegetables to the people in the community. He worked as a Janitor and School Bus Driver for New Site and Horseshoe Bend schools and was involved with the New Site Senior Citizen Center.
He is survived by his sons, Roger E. (Diane) Hill, Richard C. (Donna) Hill; daughter, Linda Jo McDaniel; grandchildren, Cindy Ann Gulledge, Jessica Diane Wright, Lisa Rena Griffies, Clate McDaniel, Brig McDaniel, Daisy Pike (Sawyer), Ragen Hawkins, Tina Kimbrell; great-grandchildren, Will Griffies, Alyssa Grace Wright, Alese Pike, Sandlin Pike, Sophie Kate Pike; and great great-grandchild, Collier Sexton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Lee Hill; daughter, Sandra Sue Hill, Grandchild, David McDaniel; and parents, Ernest and Herd Odessa Hill.
