Ms. Linda E. Trussell's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Linda E Trussell, 75, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Albert Pike and Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Linda E. Trussell, a loving, kind, and passionate woman, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Alexander City, AL, on August 28, 2023. She was born on November 29, 1947, in the same city, to her parents, the late Luther Harlan Trussell and Maude Elizabeth Trussell.
Linda was a proud alumna of Auburn University - Montgomery, where she received her education. Her career was marked by her dedication and commitment to her work. She served as a Secretary at Duncan and Sons Furniture and later at Bishop Florals. Her meticulous nature and keen attention to detail led her to a fulfilling career as a Probate Clerk for the Tallapoosa County Judge of Probate. Linda was known for her professionalism and her ability to make everyone feel valued and important.
Linda had a zest for life and an insatiable curiosity that was reflected in her many interests. She enjoyed traveling and organizing bus trips, which allowed her to explore different cultures and meet new people. Linda had a keen eye for beauty and history, which was evident in her collection of depression glass. She enjoyed doing family genealogy, tracing her roots, and learning about her ancestors. Linda was also known for her love of yard sales, where she often found hidden treasures.
Linda was a lifelong member of the River Road Baptist Church, where she once served as the secretary and treasurer. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she lived it out through her actions. She was always ready to help anyone in need, demonstrating her kindness and compassion.
Linda is survived by her nephew, Preston S. Trussell; sister-in-law, Carolyn Trussell; and adopted sister, Sandra Thompson. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Harlan Trussell, Sr., and mother, Maude Elizabeth Trussell; and her brother, Luther Harlan Trussell, Jr.. Linda's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In remembering Linda, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and passion, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her. Linda E. Trussell will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her unwavering love and kindness.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to River Road Baptist Church, American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
